The following project reference photos and observations were sent to us by our partners Ikodomia after doing several roofing projects in Cyprus using SHERA Trilon roof tile.
Reroofing of an existing and operational factory in the pharmaceutical field
- Existing roof made of 0.6 mm metal sheathing which was done 20 years ago.
- Need: Upgrade thermal insulation.
- Stop water leaks in some areas from corrosion of steel roof.
- Prerequisite: Factory is working 24/7 and should not stop.
- A light weight solution was needed for engineering reasons.
- Rock wool in high density with dimensions 1200 x 1000 mm with a reflective aluminium sheet on top.
- Trilon Roof, Polar white.
Results after application
The difference in temperature was obvious after application. We had a drop of 3 degrees Celsius in an outside temperature of 34 degrees holding all climate units at the same capacity as before.
Observations
We believe this product should be evolved to a polyurethane panel , which will give it much more strength and will suffice for the above application in terms of weight. The end result is slightly expensive because of the rockwool used and also the workmanship needed with this solution, but we feel this a very successful application and the customer is extremely happy!
