SHERA Board for Use in Wet Area Applications
SHERA Board, due to its homogenous composition of wood cellulose fibres and Portland cement, is a self draining board that is impervious to water damage that normally afflicts other building boards such as gypsum, OSB and plywood.
Impervious to Water

SHERA fibre cement board does not disintegrate if it comes into contact with water. This makes SHERA Board a perfect component of any wet area application, such as:
- Wet room backer boards
- Shower underlay boards
- Public toilet screen panels
- Plumbing waste areas
Easy to Install
Fibre cement is perfect for tiling as it provides a strong adhesion surface for tile glue and grout and has a high surface tension value allowing you to use a range of tile styles and weights.
Once installed the boards remain the perfect backer for any tiling/wet room system incorporating tiles or other veneer styles.
Easy to Tile
Due to the versatility and easy workability of SHERA Board, no special skills are required to install our boards in wet area applications and SHERA boards can be used easily for tiling as well as with any other traditional underlay board applications.
The fibrous nature of fibre cement means it has excellent adhesion values and thus any normal cement adhesive/grout can be used to apply tiles to your wet area wall application.
